The NU Lady Bulldogs unleashed a second-half surge to reclaim glory, overpowering the UST Growling Tigresses, 78-73, in a thrilling Game 3 of the UAAP Season 87 women’s basketball Finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last December 15.
Determined not to repeat last year’s Finals heartbreak, the Lady Bulldogs fought with relentless intensity to dethrone UST and capture their eighth title in the past nine seasons.
With the same squad that fell short in the previous year’s Game 3, the Lady Bulldogs channeled their pain into a united, fierce push to get back on top.
