The FEU Lady Tamaraws are set to open their UAAP Season 87 campaign with a high-stakes showdown against the UST Golden Tigresses on Saturday, February 15, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Fresh off a Final Four appearance last season, FEU is determined to take things a step further under the guidance of returning head coach Tina Salak.

The Lady Tamaraws showed their fighting spirit last year, pushing eventual champions NU to a do-or-die Final Four match.

For Season 87, FEU will once again make its case as a contender, and leading the charge are key players Tin Ubaldo and Chenie Tagaod, who will be crucial in their season-opening test against UST.

The rival Golden Tigresses are coming off a runner-up finish last season, but will be without Jonna Perdido and Xyza Gula due to injuries.

Still, UST remains a powerhouse with last season’s Rookie of the Year Angge Poyos and Regina Jurado expected to carry the scoring load, while defensive ace and captain Detdet Pepito anchors the team.

With UST-FEU being one of the UAAP’s longest-running rivalries, this matchup is more than just a season opener—it’s a battle for momentum and pride.

Can the Lady Tamaraws capitalize on their opponent’s setbacks and start their season strong, or will UST’s Finals experience hold firm? Match is set to start at 3:00 p.m. from MOA.
