The FEU Tamaraws go for an 8-0 start as they look to keep their winning play into the second round of UAAP Season 87.
Still standing as the only unbeaten team in UAAP Season 87 are the no. 1 FEU Tamaraws.
The red-hot Morayta-based squad are back in action to usher in the second round, staking their unbeaten 7-0 start against the UST Golden Spikers on Sunday, March 23, at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City. Match time is at 11:00 a.m.
FEU completed an opening-round sweep for the first time since 2019, taking down the DLSU Green Spikers in the last outing.
Despite giving away the opening set, Mikko Espartero and the Tamaraws regrouped and secured the next three en route to claiming another dominant win.

Espartero fashioned out his best game of the tournament thanks to a 27-point explosion built on 21 attacks, five aces, and a block.
“Mahalaga ‘yung healthy pause at dahan-dahan na huminga, kumalma, at huwag magpadala sa pressure. ‘Yun ‘yung nakita ko nung first set kaya nagka-struggle,” Espartero bared on what sparked FEU’s turnaround.
Dryx Saavedra added 17 markers, while Lirick Mendoza collected 13 points as the league-leading Tamaraws dropped just three sets overall after the opening round.
Against the very same team who booted them out in the Final Four last season, the Tamaraws are eyeing to sweep their elimination round match-up with the Golden Spikers to continue their dream start.
