Laure will be carrying the championship aspirations of UST this Season 85.
The UST Golden Tigresses are coming into UAAP Season 85 with high expectations.
All eyes will be on the team as they look to bring home the trophy to España.
But while this may be the case, team captain Eya Laure said that the Golden Tigresses are mentally and physically prepared for the upcoming season, pointing out that everyone in the team is ready to contribute.
“I think everyone pwedeng maglaro sa loob ng court and maaasahan.
In Season 84, the Tigresses finished with a 9-5 record, finishing fourth in the tournament after falling to the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the first round of the stepladder semifinals.
With this season being possibly her last year in UST, the 23-year-old outside hitter said she is looking to leave a lasting legacy with the team.
Laure, who was named Season 84’s Best Scorer, also made some promises for herself come Season 85.
“I want to be healthy. Siyempre nag-start ako by losing weight kahit [konti] and pinalakas din 'yung injury ko. And of course, mentally and physically mas prepared sa Season 85,” said Laure.
