On a given day, anyone can beat anybody and Aurora Gaming felt the reality of it in their Round 1 Swiss Stage loss against Falcon Esports.
Despite a disastrous start in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M6 World Championship, Aurora Gaming are keen for a resounding response.
“We know we can bounce back from this loss,” head coach Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani bared after RORA’s opening-day defeat at the hands of Myanmar's Falcon Esports.
Runners-up in the MPL Philippines Season 14 to Fnatic ONIC PH, Aurora Gaming (0-1) were one of several teams who absorbed stunning losses in Day 1 of the Swiss Stage.
In a thrilling battle, Falcon Esports were able to win the battle in the Lord pit 12 minutes into the match, as they took out two RORA members.
From that point onwards, the Myanmar club successfully dissected Aurora Gaming’s defense to pull off one of the biggest upsets to start the tournament.
Yar “Px7” Mon claimed the match MVP honors, finishing with a stellar KDA of seven kills and eight assists against two deaths while using Zhuxin.
Jonard "Demonkite" Caranto and Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse combined for just six kills and eight assists for RORA.
“I [give] credit to Falcon they prepared well for us. I think they're ready to face us,” Jiandani admitted.
With the loss, the notion of “anyone can be anybody” are truer words that have never been spoken as Jiandani and the rest of Aurora Gaming quickly shift their focus against NIP Flash (0-1) in the continuation of the Swiss Stage.

“We really have to expect the unexpected that can happen,” Jiandani expressed.
“I think we’ll just do what we do best. The tournament is not over yet. Hopefully, we’ll keep in mind that this tournament won’t be easy if we want to win it,” he added.
Meanwhile, Fnatic ONIC PH took care of business against Team Liquid ID and will face CFU Gaming (1-0) next.
