Looks like a series of unfortunate events for Justin Noypi.
Justin Brownlee is having a hard time catching a break.
After suffering from food poisoning in Game 5 of the PBA Governors' Cup finals, and absorbing his first-ever loss with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in a championship series, JB suffered yet another mishap.
This time, he got quite a "lip service," and from a former teammate, no less.
Justin Noypi suffered the cut during Gilas Pilipinas' practice on Friday, as he shared on his Instagram Story.
According to reports, JB was accidentally hit with the elbow of former Ginebra teammate Arvin Tolentino.
Also reportedly present during the practice were fellow Ginebra members Christian Standhardinger and Jeremiah Gray, along with Meralco Bolts' Aaron Black and Chris Newsome, NLEX Road Warriors' Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, San Miguel Beermen's Chris Ross and Marcio Lassiter, Adamson Soaring Falcons' Jerom Lastimosa, and De La Salle Green Archers' Ben and Michael Phillips.
Attendance remains a challenge for this 2023 Southeast Asian Games Redeem Team, with several players from Ginebra and the TNT Tropang Giga bowing out due to injuries, illnesses, and commitments.
Gilas will be looking to regain the SEA Games gold medal from Indonesia as the Philippines was drawn in Group B along with Malaysia, Vietnam, and Myanmar.
