Ramos seems ready to compete in Gilas' European trip already.
Dwight Ramos always seems ready to go to battle for Gilas Pilipinas.
That was seemingly the case when the 6-foot-4 guard was asked on how ready he and his teammates are for their tune-up games in Estonia.
“I think everybody should be ready,” Ramos told reporters prior to Gilas’ flight to Estonia on Thursday night. “We had the bubble training in Inspire, so I think we should be ready.”
Ramos, who shared his excitement to play once more for the national team, also pointed out that Gilas' training camp in Europe is very much part of their preparations to get ready.
“Even if we're not [ready], those games are meant to get us ready, so it doesn't really matter too much,” said Ramos.
Gilas will lock horns against several European nations as they look to get into better shape individually and as team prior to the final stretch for the FIBA World Cup.
As for Ramos, the Japan B.League stalwart said that he is in pretty good shape as the national team continues to lock in for the tournament.
“I had good training in the States. My mentality is pretty good right now,” said Ramos. “I think everybody is pretty focused and locked in because it's only two months left really.”
All eyes will be on Ramos and the rest of Gilas from now until the World Cup itself.
