Sean Chambers was a beast as a player. Though he’s no longer playing, the former PBA Best Import continues to make an impact for Philippine basketball.
It looks like Sean Chambers is going to be a fixture in Gilas Pilipinas’ bench.
After joining the Tim Cone’s coaching staff for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Riga, Chambers finds himself in the same position again in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers.

There's no one as happy as Cone.
The 66-year-old mentor only has praises for his former prized import, with whom he won a PBA Grand Slam in the '90s with Alaska.
“He’s a lot of fun to have,” said Cone of Chambers.

It isn’t just Cone who is thrilled to have the amiable Chambers back on the sidelines.
“Players love him. I think the players are all excited about him being on the staff as well,” the winningest PBA tactician said.
“He brings a breath of fresh air all the time when he’s around.”
Cone is hopeful that vibes will work wonders as the Nationals stake their 2-0 win-loss record against New Zealand and Hong Kong in Group B action.
Gilas is looking to score a win for the first time in five meetings against the Tall Blacks on Thursday, Nov. 21.
