Gilas Pilipinas goes back to action in the February window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers from February 20 to 25.

Here is the schedule, where to watch, and other stories.

Why is the final window important for Gilas Pilipinas?

The Philippine men's national basketball team is already assured of a berth in the main FIBA Asia Cup 2025 draw in Saudi Arabia, by virtue of a 4-0 record in Group B.

Gilas has two objectives in this final window: improve the Philippines' seeding heading to the main draw and find a solution to the lack of Kai Sotto.

About that Doha tournament

The Philippines went 1-2 in the Doha International Cup, a pocket tournament against Qatar, Lebanon, and Egypt, meant to simulate the hectic schedule come the FIBA Asia Cup 2025.

Coach Tim Cone also said it would help AJ Edu and Jamie Malonzo return to form for Gilas after their long recovery period from injury. He also intended for the tournament to be a testing ground for various lineups, now that they're missing Kai Sotto for a good nine months due to an ACL injury.
