Marc Pingris resigned from his post as Pilipinas Super League commissioner.
The nine-time PBA champion himself announced this development in an Instagram post on Monday, saying the decision was tough, but “I know it is the right one.”
“I have decided to resign from my position as the commissioner of the Pilipinas Super League,” he said.
Appointed as commissioner in January 2022, the former Magnolia Hotshots star expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the basketball community.
“I will always be grateful for the opportunity given me, and will continue to be of service to the basketball community,” said the Gilas Pilipinas Men hero.
So, what’s next for the "Pinoy Sakuragi"?
Perhaps this means he can also focus more on his son Mic's budding basketball career. Or maybe he can join the PBA MotoClub a lot more. It is highly likely this means more daddy duties as well. Regardless, expect Pingris to be very active with whatever it is he wants to do next.
