Good morning for a good run.

The Creamline Cool Smashers, who comprise a considerable chunk of the Philippine women's national volleyball team, took a breather after a morning run in Japan.

The photo was taken by PVL 2023 All-Filipino Conference Finals MVP and Best Setter Jia de Guzman.

It's not a pure pink squad moment though. Yesterday, de Guzman also shared snaps of their bonding time with the rest of the Philippine team in Himeji.

2022 Reinforced Conference MVP Mylene Paat also shared these bonding moments with Creamline players, along with Choco Mucho Flying Titans' Kat Tolentino and Akari Chargers' Bang Pineda.

The squad, though, has a long way to go after falling to local volleyball team Victorina Himeji of V.League Division 1 in four sets, 21-25, 19-25, 13-25, 22-25.

And that means no leisurely lunch for the girls, as shown in Michele Gumabao's IG story, where they all took their lunch inside the court.

The Philippines is grouped with 2021 runner-up Vietnam, host Cambodia, and Singapore in Pool B. The top two teams in the pool will advance to the knockout crossover semifinals.
