Following the recently-concluded Volleyball Nations League (VNL) leg in Metro Manila, Slovenia’s Rok Mozic had some nice things to say about the volleyball fans in the country.

On Facebook, Mozic took the time to thank the Filipino fans for coming out to support him and the Slovenian national team during their games, which were played in the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

And to show that he truly enjoyed his time in the country, the Slovenian volleyball star even wrote his message in Filipino.

“My dear [Filipino] fans. Hindi man ako 100% para makapaglaro sa Pinas ay 110% naman ang pagmamahal na pinadama niyo sa akin and sa buong team Slovenia. Isang karangalan ang maglaro sa harap ninyong lahat. 'Di ako makapaghintay na bumalik ulit,” Mozic wrote in his post.

It's not just Slovenia who received the love as legions of fans, and Filipino pro players as well, flocked to Pasay to watch the global icons in the sport. Some of the VNL players are even overwhelmed by the support from the Pinoys.

During the leg, Slovenia played four games, splitting their games with losses against Poland and Italy, and wins over China and Netherlands

Slovenia’s straight-sets win over Netherlands last Sunday proved to be crucial as they assured themselves of a spot in the quarterfinals.

The seventh-ranked volleyball nation will travel to Poland next, where they will face powerhouse Japan on July 20.

How about holding the VNL Playoffs in the Philippines? Mozic will definitely love that idea.
