McLaren’s Bianca Bustamante crosses one more thing off her bucket list

Bianca Bustamante continues to inch closer to her ultimate dream of racing in Formula One. But, at least for now, she had to settle for sitting on an actual F1 car.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the 18-year-old Bustamante shared a photo of herself inside an F1 car for the first time. She couldn’t hide her excitement.

“From dreaming, to sitting inside an F1 Car for the very first time,” she said.

Over a week ago, the racer out of Laguna made history after F1 team McLaren added her to its development program.

Bustamante, who also had the chance to rub elbows with F1 superstar Lewis Hamilton in the flesh, said joining McLaren was her childhood dream.

 Before joining the team, the Filipina speedster made waves in the F1 Academy this year.

Donning the Prema Racing colors, she garnered 116 points and wound up at seventh place in the 15-field competition. She also won two races in Valencia, Spain and Monza, Italy. She also had two podium finishes under her belt.

Put simply, young Bianca just keeps winning and manifesting her dreams.
