Myla Pablo has consistently delivered double-digit performances throughout the Petro Gazz Angels' six-game winning streak in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Myla Pablo continued her solid form for the Petro Gazz Angels as they extended their winning streak to six with a four-set victory over the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, 25-20, 24-26, 28-26, 25-22, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.
With Jonah Sabete still sidelined, Pablo has embraced the challenge of taking on a bigger offensive load alongside Brooke Van Sickle.
The veteran open spiker delivered a conference-high 22 points in the win while providing much-needed stability for the Angels.
Since starting in Petro Gazz’s last six matches, Pablo has finished in double-digit figures—all of which have led to victories.
"Ginawa ko lang din trabaho ko as a player. We know naman Jonah, na-injure siya. So kailangan talaga mag-step up ako bilang open spiker," Pablo shared during the post-game press conference. "For trusting with coach Koji [Tsuzurabara] din talaga. Kailangan talaga, 'pag binibigyan ka ng trust ng coach, kailangan mo rin tanggapin ‘yung trabaho sa loob ng court.”
Since Tsuzurabara's arrival, Pablo has admitted that the adjustment process has been challenging. However, she has remained committed to adapting to the system and improving with each game.
"’Yung system ni coach Koji, pinag-aralan din namin bago siya dumating sa team. Noong una mahirap pero kailangan talaga everyday sa training, kailangan i-accept kung ano ‘yung magiging outcome,” said Pablo.
That hard work is starting to pay off, as Petro Gazz continues to gain momentum heading into the latter half of the conference.
"Ginawa ko lang ‘yung best ko, ginawa ko lang din ‘yung sistema ni coach Koji. Kaya tignan mo ‘yung nangyari sa amin this conference, okay naman."

Pablo also acknowledged the challenge of maintaining consistency, especially as one of the team’s primary scorers.
"Pag wala kasing pasa, sa amin mapupunta lahat ng bola. So kailangan talaga, maging consistent kami na mga open, na binibigay talaga namin ‘yung best namin para maipanalo ‘yung game," she explained.
With Pablo regaining her form and Van Sickle continuing to perform at the MVP level, Petro Gazz remains a dangerous contender in the All-Filipino Conference.
