CM Punk gets painfully real about his WrestleMania dream-turned-nightmare.
Barely into the road to WrestleMania, WWE’s flagship event has been dealt a major blow.
CM Punk is practically out of WrestleMania 40, dealing with a torn right tricep.
On the January 29 episode of Monday Night Raw, Punk confirmed the unfortunate news. He came out with a sling on his right arm.
Punk sustained the injury to his right triceps at the Royal Rumble, where he finished runner-up to back-to-back winner Cody Rhodes.

The Royal Rumble was Punk’s first televised WWE match after 10 years.
“I feel a little bit unlucky. In the course of the Rumble, I tore my right tricep,” Punk said on his opening promo.
“It’s just not in the cards,” he added, talking about WrestleMania 40. “My goal and my dream, ever since I was a kid, was to main event WrestleMania. Maybe it’s just not ever gonna happen.”
CM Punk notably had a torn left triceps while in AEW in 2022, causing him to miss nine months.
