Lorenz Señoron and the Savouge Aesthetics Spin Doctors eliminated the Philippine Air Force Airmen, snapping out of their own funk with a big win in the 2024 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference.
Savouge Aesthetics arrested its three-game losing skid after sending Philippine Air Force out of contention with a hard-earned sweep, 25-17, 28-26, 25-22, in the 2024 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference at the PhilSports Arena Sunday.
Lorenz Señoron delivered 13 points, all but one coming from attacks, allowing the Spin Doctors to rise to fifth place with a 2-3 record.
Charlee Magpayo provided ample support with 11 markers, while John Diwa supplemented the team nine points.
Sherwin Caritativo pitched in an all-around contribution of seven points, six digs, and 13 receptions for the Spin Doctors, who also drew seven markers from Jerremy Pedrosa.
The Airmen managed to brush aside a lethargic opening frame before coming alive in the second and third sets. However, the Spin Doctors had a superior finishing kick, dashing the hopes of Air Force, which fell to 1-5.
Pol Salvador poured a game-high 20 points, while Bryan Jaleco put up 17 markers that all went for naught.
Savouge Aesthetics will aim to continue its pursuit of a semis berth when it takes on also-ran Richmarc Sports 3B on April 17, Wednesday.
Air Force, on the other hand, tries to arrest its five-game skid when it attempts to upend powerhouse Criss Cross on April 21, Sunday.
Both matches will be held at the Ynares Sports Center.
