Kai Sotto finds a new home in Japan.
The Koshigaya Alphas have announced they are signing the Gilas Pilipinas big man for the 2024-25 B. League season, the team announced.
Sotto is coming off his best season in his pro career with the Yokohama B-Corsairs last season, averaging 12.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.1 blocks in 34 games.
The Alphas earned a promotion to Japan’s top flight league after finishing as one of the top two teams alongside the Shiga Lakes in the B2 division.
Koshigaya is led by a dynamic 5-foot-9 point guard in Shun Matsuyama, who averaged 16 points and 4.5 assists last season.
While in Yokohama, Kai logged eight double-doubles and scored his career-high in points, a 28-point effort against Alvark Tokyo.

In his stint with the B-Corsairs, Sotto developed a budding partnership with league MVP Yuki Kawamura.
Kiefer Ravena was then tapped by Yokohama to replace Sotto in the squad.
