Jimenez is keeping the faith in his PBA journey.
Following the release of the official rosters for the upcoming PBA Season 48 Commissioner’s Cup, many basketball enthusiasts in the country couldn’t help but notice that fan-favorite rookie Kyt Jimenez was missing from the San Miguel Beermen lineup.
While some fans believe Jimenez has been cut from the roster, the 76th pick in the 2023 PBA Draft clarified his current situation with the team.
In a lengthy post on his social media pages, Jimenez shed some light on the process he is undertaking—along with other MPBL players who were drafted in the 2023 PBA Draft and signed by their respective PBA teams.
Jimenez, who signed a two-year deal with the Beermen, emphasized that the ongoing MPBL season demands full attention and that for players like him, the focus remains on completing the season before they can contemplate the possibility of playing in the PBA.
“Ngayong ongoing pa ang season at nakapasok sa latest round ng playoffs ng MPBL, ay tatapusin po namin ang season bago kami magkaron ng possibility na makapaglaro sa PBA,” Jimenez wrote in his post.

While he won’t be part of San Miguel's lineup for the Commissioner’s Cup, Jimenez couldn’t help but thank his fans for the overwhelming support and messages he’s received.
He also reminded his supporters that his dream of making it to the PBA is still very much alive.
“‘Di man tayo nasa lineup agad-agad, ay ibig sabihin na di na natupad pangarap natin, may oras pa tayo para trabahuhin at paghandaan 'yun,” said Jimenez. “Step-by-step process lahat 'to. God's timing, not ours.”
Jimenez's journey to the PBA is still in the making, and fans can expect to see more of his promising career unfold—maybe not now but, as Kyt always says, when God finally permits it.
Perhaps it will all be worth the wait.
