It’s just a few weeks to go before Christmas, and that means many are already putting up Christmas trees in their respective homes.
Phoenix Fuel Masters rookie Ricci Rivero is also getting into the Yuletide spirit, albeit in a very unique and um, clean, way.
In an Instagram Story on Tuesday, Rivero reposted a photo of what appeared to be a Christmas tree made up of dirty clothes. It was originally shared by his beauty queen girlfriend Leren Mae Bautista.
“Ohh buo na,” Rivero wrote in the caption.
To be clear, it’s not Rivero’s. Bautista just stumbled upon the meme and thought it was a good joke for her boyfriend, who was sport enough to oblige.
Just to jog your gossip-loving memory, it looks like this alludes to an allegation made by Rivero’s ex-girlfriend Andrea Brillantes that the Phoenix guard doesn’t do laundry for one year. While Brillantes didn’t outright name Rivero, many deduced that the actress was talking about him.
Whether that’s true or not, what is certain is that the 17th overall pick in the PBA Draft made a splashing debut after putting up 15 points and four rebounds in a 113-101 win over the NLEX Road Warriors last Friday.
His numbers dipped in their 107-92 defeat to the Magnolia Hotshots last Sunday with four points, four rebounds, and four turnovers. But the high-leaping guard can surely play.
