He was told to rest for six months.
Five months ago, RR Pogoy was diagnosed with myocarditis, an inflamation of the heart muscle which would sideline him for several few months.
Doctors advised the TNT Tropang Giga, who signed a three-year deal with the team last June, to rest. In a previous interview, Pogoy announced he would make his comeback after six months.
His latest Instagram story, though, has raised fans’ hopes his return will come sooner rather than later. In the said story, Pogoy is seen lifting weights.
Look:
TNT would definitely want its gunner back as soon as possible.
Even with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson in tow, the Tropang Giga is mired in the middle pack with a pedestrian 2-2 win-loss record.
Under interim coach Jojo Lastimosa, the Tropang Giga hope to barge back into the win column when they take on Northport Batang Pier on Friday.
Gametime is set at 4 p.m. at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
