CJ Perez revealed the "champions" among his Beermen teammates in different departments off the court in a fun conversation with One Sports.
There are champions. And then, there is San Miguel.
The Beermen picked up their record-extending 29th crown at the expense of Magnolia in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup last Valentine's Day.
This further cemented the legacy of players like seven-time Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo, Best Player of the Conference and Finals MVP CJ Perez, and Chris Ross.
But it turns out, there’s more to the Beermen than their titles.
In an exclusive chat with One Sports, Perez revealed who among his San Miguel teammates are "champions" when it comes to different categories outside the sport – like singing, dancing and, well, drinking.
When asked which member excels on the mic, Perez was quick to point out Simon Enciso and Kyt Jimenez.
The 30-year-old cager shared that Enciso belts out R&B music while YouTube star and fan favorite Jimenez sings "budots." Perez also revealed that the pair sing the most in the locker room.
“Alam ko si Simon, mahilig kumanta. More on R&B si Simon, 'yung naririnig ko. Si Kyt, parang budots yata [ang kinakanta],” Perez said with a hearty laugh.
It appears that the talents of the aforementioned duo do not stop there as they were also the best in strutting their stuff on the dancefloor. Troy Mallilin as well.
"Si Simon pa rin (champion sa sayawan). Magaling sumayaw 'yun si Simon. Si Kyt laging pinapasayaw 'pag naggi-guesting," Perez said.

Perez also let fans in on what happens inside the court in the Beermen's training sessions citing veterans Ross, Marcio Lassiter and, admittedly, himself as the latecomers. In contrast, Jeron Teng, Jericho Cruz and Mallilin are the firsts to arrive.
He later revealed who often gets scolded by coach Jorge Gallent – the two-man list included Mallilin, but most of the time, it was himself.
The best in kalokohan (Cruz, Rodney Brondial), kadaldalan (Brondial, Tautuaa) and katahimikan (Marcio Lassiter) were also shared.
The San Miguel cagers may always be seen in their jerseys on the court but they are also ones to flash their style. Ross, Perez's "rich friend" Cruz, Lassiter and Enciso stood out as the most fashionable in the bunch. Perez also included himself in the "champion in #OOTD (outfit of the day)" list.

As for the #foodie, the recognition goes to Teng and the 6-foot-10 behemoth Fajardo.
"Ang nakita ko, si Jeron Teng malakas kumain. Siyempre, si Kuya June. Ang laki noon, eh," said Perez.
Fajardo netted a few more personal accolades from Perez, showing that he could be an MVP not just on the court but in sleeping, playing mobile games and drinking, as well.
"Si Kuya June Mar, mahilig matulog," said Perez.
This prompted One Sports to ask if it was the reason he was that tall to which Perez answered, "Oo."
Perez also spilled that Fajardo plays mobile games even during training: "Oo. Minsan nakaupo 'yun, naglalaro 'yun."
Fajardo would have to share the award in drinking with Perez, though, as the former San Sebastian star disclosed that both of them hit the bottle until the morning in the Beermen's victory party celebration.
"Si Kuya June, ako (champion sa inuman sa victory party). Kasi inabot kami ng umaga," Perez grinned.
