Magnolia keeps chase for playoff berth alive, clips Phoenix in PBA Commissioner’s Cup

Magnolia sent Phoenix crashing back to earth as it hang tough in the end for a 110-104 verdict in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Thursday, Jan. 16.

The Hotshots bounced back from their sorry loss to San Miguel and, more importantly, breathed life into their playoff aspirations after spiking their record to 4-6.

 

Phoenix, which rode a two-game winning streak heading into Thursday’s match, now holds a 3-6 tally.

Magnolia resumes its chase for a playoff berth on Sunday, Jan. 26, when it takes on Eastern at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
