The Converge FiberXers are on the verge of making franchise history as they aim to finish off Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in Game 2 of their best-of-three quarterfinal series on Friday, Feb. 7.

The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Coming off a dominant 130-118 victory in Game 1 on Wednesday, Feb. 5, the FiberXers are now one win away from their first-ever semifinal appearance since entering the PBA.

Converge’s high-octane offense proved too much for Rain or Shine, which basically limped with the untimely exit of import Deon Thompson with still 8:34 remaining in the third period.

A win in Game 2 would set up a semifinal clash against TNT Tropang Giga, but Converge must stay sharp as Rain or Shine will fight to keep their season alive. The FiberXers cannot afford to let their guard down as they look to finally break through and take another step toward title contention.
