Last year’s PBA All-Star Game delivered an electrifying finish, ending in a dramatic 140-140 deadlock at the University of St. La Salle Gym in Bacolod City.
Robert Bolick played hero for Team Barroca, erasing a massive 31-point deficit against Team Japeth with a clutch four-point play in the final 18 seconds. Fouled by Calvin Oftana as he drilled a deep shot, Bolick calmly sank the free throw to tie the game.
Oftana had a chance to win it on the other end, but his attempt was well-defended, allowing Bolick to secure the rebound as time expired.
The four-point shot has been integrated into the conference after the successful run in the All-Star Game.
With no overtime period, both teams shared the honors, and Bolick was named co-Most Valuable Player alongside Japeth Aguilar.
Both teams were also handed P150,000 after the match.
