The Converge FiberXers look to shake off a heartbreaking opener and notch their first win in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup when they face the Phoenix Fuel Masters on Sunday, April 6.

The match is set at 7:30 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Malate.

Coming off a tough 91-89 loss to defending champion Meralco, the FiberXers are aiming to regroup quickly despite the continued absence of star guard Jordan Heading, who remains sidelined due to back issues.

Heading, a Commissioner’s Cup Best Player of the Conference candidate, has been a key part of Converge’s rise, but the team will have to dig deep in his absence early in the All-Filipino.

The pressure is now on the rest of the FiberXers’ core to respond with urgency and composure as they try to avoid a 0-2 start in a short conference where every win matters.
