Team Philippines is off to a good start.
The first order of business for Akari Chargers' Michelle Cobb upon visiting a new country, is checking out convenience stores.
"Me in a different country means me trying all the convenience store snackies," Cobb posted in her Instagram story. This includes a mi goreng cup noodle, strawberry yogurt drink, orange juice, a grass jelly drink, and yogurt flavored with black sticky rice.

Take it from us, legitimate nasi goreng (stir-fried rice) and mi goreng (stir-fried noodles) are very, very good.
The Akari Chargers and the Petro Gazz Angels, along with reinforcements from the Ateneo Blue Eagles and the Foton Tornadoes, formed the bulk of the Philippine women's national volleyball team competing in the 2023 AVC Challenge Cup for Women. The Filipinas picked up their first victory with a sweep against Macau, 25-14, 25-12, 25-9.
Setter Djanel Cheng of the Angels seemed to bond pretty well with the team—if this post-match selfie is any indication.
Ateneo's Roma Mae Doromal was just all too happy to get the opportunity to banner the Philippine flag.
"Living the dream," she captioned in an Instagram story as she wore the red national jersey.
Akari libero Bang Pineda meanwhile, no stranger to the national team as she competed in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, is ready for more.
And she will have that chance as the Philippines faces Indonesia for the top spot of Pool A on Tuesday, 8 p.m. The Filipinas have a score to settle with the host country, after suffering yet another defeat at the hands of the Indonesians during the third-place match of the SEA Games.
