Caitlin Viray delivered in back-to-back games for the Farm Fresh Foxies as they closed out their PVL All-Filipino preliminary round campaign with a huge comeback win over the Capital1 Solar Spikers.
Amid Trisha Tubu’s absence, Caitlin Viray has stepped up big time for the Farm Fresh Foxies in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
In their latest match, Viray delivered 14 points on 11 attacks and three blocks to help the Foxies pull off the reverse sweep against the Capital1 Solar Spikers, 18-25, 21-25, 26-24, 25-19, 15-12, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Tuesday, February 18.
Knowing the points that Tubu delivers on a nightly basis for Farm Fresh, Viray knew she had to put in more effort to help the team secure a much-needed victory.
Tubu, who was out due to back spams, is currently the fourth top scorer in the conference with 182 total points and second among the top spikers with a 38.02% efficiency rate.

“Dinala niya kami [Tubu] dito, talagang trinabaho niya talaga 'yung mga past game namin so habang nagre-recover siya, sana hindi na niya isipin 'yung puwesto na naiwanan niya. Focus muna siya sa recovery,” Viray said during the post-game press conference.
Prior to her 14-point performance, the former UST standout finished as the lone double-digit scorer with 11 markers in Farm Fresh’s previous match against the Creamline Cool Smashers.
With five Foxies finishing in double-digit scoring this time around, Viray knows that it will take a total team effort to get the job done.
“Siguro talagang nagtulong-tulong lang kami kasi anlaki nung nawala na scoring load kay Tubs, so happy na talagang nag-step up lahat and 'yon, lima 'yung nag-double digit so ibig sabihin team effort talaga siya,” said Viray.
Farm Fresh will have some time off as they await their opponent in the qualifying round either as the 8th or 9th seed.
