The Petro Gazz Angels will have plenty of momentum heading into the next round of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference after dominating the Nxled Chameleons in straight sets, 25-19, 25-14, 25-17, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Thursday, February 20.

Strong from start to finish, the Angels quickly separated from the Chameleons in the third set, building a lead as big as 10 points at 22-12 after Donnalyn Paralejas’ service ace.

Despite the Chameleons’ efforts to cut the deficit, Myla Pablo sealed the win with a cross-court kill.

Djanel Cheng orchestrated the team’s win with 14 excellent sets and two points.

With the victory, the Angels improved to 10-1 for second in the standings, just behind the Creamline Cool Smashers due to set ratio.

Meanwhile, the Chameleons are the complete opposite at 1-10, sitting at the bottom of the standings.

Following Nxled and Galeries Tower’s defeat, Petro Gazz will face the Capital1 Solar Spikers in the qualifying round.
