Creamline looking as dominant as ever.
Tots Carlos had another superb outing on Thursday as the Creamline Cool Smashers dominated the newcomer Gerflor Defenders in straight sets, 25-18, 25-11, 25-12, at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
The Three-time PVL MVP came up with 15 points built on 13 attacks, 1 block, and 1 ace for the Cool Smashers as they improve to a 2-0 record in Pool A. Carlos also made contributions on defense for a stellar all-around performance.
Delivering on all facets of the game sounds amazing, but it's really just another day in the office for Creamline.
"We prepare everyday, so lahat ng skills talaga kino-cover nila coach. So, meron talagang phase for blocking, spiking, defense," Carlos said during the postgame interview.
"Everyday, I just really try to give my best and play as hard as I can, as smart as I can, and really just help the team."
The Creamline ace, however, admitted that facing a new team like the Defenders had them guessing in the first set.
“We don't have any clues about the team, kung ano 'yung defense pattern, kung ano ‘yung mga atake, so 'yun talaga ‘yung tinignan namin nung first set," Tots added.
“Medyo dikit ‘yung score nung first set kasi tinitignan din namin kung ano ‘yung mga mangyayari,” she added.
But once the Cool Smashers found their groove, it was smooth sailing from there on as all Creamline players were able to play during the match and even scored at least a point.
“From there, nag-adjust 'yung team and we're really happy na lahat nakalaro today.”
The Cool Smashers, who have been working on mastering their craft, will have two weeks off to rest and prepare for their next match, which is against the PLDT High Speed Hitters on July 13.
