Rachel Anne Daquis, who has been busy wearing the coach’s hat during this PVL break, is taking another step towards the volleyball tactician route as she gets an invitation to a coaching camp in the United States.

Her team, the Cignal HD Spikers, announced the development on social media over the weekend.

“Congrats to team captain Rachel, for being invited to a coaches camp in the USA this October,” the statement read.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will benefit her volleyball career and eventually the Cignal HD Spikers as she shares her learning and experience with the team.”

As the team mentioned, it doesn’t seem like Daquis is leaving the team or pursuing full-time coaching duties with the franchise or elsewhere. Fans, however, were quick to ask hard-hitting questions.

For one, the camp is taking place in October, the same month as the targeted start of the season-ending All-Filipino Conference (AFC).

“No RAD this AFC? Huhuhu,” netizen @carlamonicadg commented on Instagram, echoing the worries of many other fans.

Another Cignal supporter and IG user @xx.itsmemaricar.xx, alongside Facebook user Annabel Romero Rovera, are concerned about RAD's possible absence from the HD Spikers.

“Nooooooooo! Happiness Cignal will never be the same without @rachdaquis13,” said the IG user. “Nakaka-proud but medyo nakaka-sad din if ever wala siya this conference like she's the heart and soul of Cignal!”

“Need ng team ng leadership. Ang capacity niya ay hindi mapapantayan,” Rovero wrote.

Meanwhile, @jennelyncantillanaya and @vincentandig are looking forward to the playing time that will open up for Vanie Gandler, who has shown flashes of brilliance so far in her rookie year. They also included reigning PVL Invitational MVP Ces Molina in the conversation.

“Vanie @ Molina,” Jennelyn said.

“So are we seeing a Gandler x Molina tandem this conference?" Vin Cent asked through the Instagram comment section.

Mi Noe on Facebook, on the other hand, is keeping hopes up for Daquis' timely return to the Philippines.

“Matagal naman matapos ‘yung conference na ‘to. Hanggang December daw, siguro naman makakahabol si Queen.

Whatever Daquis' future plans are, we only wish the best for the former FEU Tamaraw.

Take care in the US, Queen!
