It’s not gonna be easy, but her resolve is bigger than the doubt.
Vanie Gandler is expected to take a major role for the Cignal HD Spikers in the upcoming PVL All-Filipino Conference.
In just her second conference with the team, the rookie out of the Ateneo Blue Eagles told One Sports she will have a bigger role this time around for Cignal. She didn’t elaborate it, though.
“I really need to be mature; in a way, learn how to lead this team,” she said.
To say that it’s a tall task for the Cignal rookie is an understatement.
Cignal is coming off a bronze-medal finish in the PVL Invitational Conference after edging the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the battle for third.
Now, the HD Spikers are gunning for the championship this time around. And Gandler is ready to grab the challenge by the horns and soldier on.
“The goal is to win the championship this time around,” she said. “Hopefully, we can. We’ve been putting in a lot of work. Just hoping for the best.”
How well Gandler responds to her expanded role—whatever it may be—will surely be one of the key factors if Cignal is to finally break through and win that coveted championship.
Good thing Gandler is ready.
