Creamline flaunted its depth as it overwhelmed Galeries Tower, 25-22, 25-17, 25-15, in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Thursday, March 7.

The Cool Smashers unloaded a balanced offensive thrust, dispatching the Highrisers in straight sets for a 3-0 record.

They now join Choco Mucho at the summit with their identical slates.

The Highrisers, meanwhile, remained winless in three matches to share the cellar with Strong Group.

Trailing by three at 7-10 in the decisive third set, Creamline went on a 10-2 tear behind Michele Gumabao that tipped the scales to its favor, 19-12, after a nip-and-tuck battle early in the frame.

The defending champion did not let up from there as they wrapped up their third win in 78 minutes.

Gumabao rebounded from a two-point outing the last time out as she tallied 10 points built on three blocks to lead 10 other Cool Smashers who scored at least two in the rout.

Tots Carlos, who was coming off a career-high 31 points, contributed nine markers, while Alyssa Valdez chipped in eight of her own in two sets played.

Kyle Negrito orchestrated the offense with 18 excellent sets for Creamline, which outgunned Galeries Tower with a 45-32 attack disparity.

Jimenez topbilled for the Highrisers with 11 points she laced with seven receptions in an effort that went for naught.

Creamline guns for 4-0 when it collides with Strong Group while Galeries Tower tries to barge into the win column when it takes on Nxled at the same venue on Tuesday, March 12.
