Following their successful stint in the PVL, imports MJ Perez and Oluoma Okaro have reunited to lead the Olympias Neapolis women’s volleyball team in Cyprus.
Following their stint in the PVL, imports MJ Perez and Oly Okaro have reunited on the taraflex. But this time they're in Cyprus, as members of the Olympias Neapolis women’s volleyball team.
In an Instagram post, Perez posted photos of her new team in Cyprus, and fellow PVL import Okaro was spotted alongside her.
Perez and Okaro electrified the Filipino volleyball scene during the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference and are now combining their forces in the competitive league.
Perez played a monumental role for the Cignal HD Spikers during their bronze medal finish in the Reinforced Conference before coming close with a silver medal in the Invitational Conference.
In the final against eventual champions Creamline Cool Smashers, the decorated spiker finished with 42 points, setting a new single-game Finals record.
The 36-year-old Venezuelan outside spiker even won the Best Foreign Guest Player and Best Outside Hitter awards in the two conferences.
Meanwhile, Okaro led the Akari Chargers to their first-ever PVL finals appearance, nearly going undefeated in the entire conference.
The 28-year-old opposite hitter also made history with two other imports as they set a new record for the most 30-point games in a single conference. Okaro scored over 30 points in five games during the 2024 Reinforced Conference.

With these two at the helm, Olympias Neapolis is poised to become a formidable contender this season.
