Before we dive into the intense 2024-2025 PVL All-Filipino Conference, let’s bask in the Halloween vibes and scare ourselves with the ghost stories from our PVL stars.
Just when we believed that the most terrifying challenges for the PVL stars were the five-setters or getting lost against their rivals, the PVL stars unveiled their spookiest tales this Halloween.
Sleep Paralysis
While we assume that sleep is our sanctuary, Creamline's own Alyssa Valdez found herself ensnared in the clutches of sleep paralysis, unable to move a muscle.
“‘No’ng high school. Proven naman siya. ‘Di ko magalaw ‘yong katawan ko pero gising ako,” she recounted, her voice tinged with lingering fear.
“In my mind I’m awake, in my mind I’m shouting so hard, hindi pala talaga ako gumagalaw or naririnig ng kahit na sino,” she added, the chilling memory still haunting her.
Whisper from beyond
After the passing of her mother, Creamline’s star middle blocker Pangs Panaga revealed a haunting experience that echoed with nostalgia. She felt her mother’s presence, softly calling her nickname, “Nene.”
“I think ‘yong kaka-pass away lang ng mother ko. Madaling araw kasi ‘yon. Kailangan kong umuwi sa Bataan. Kumukuha ako ng damit sa cabinet. Parang may bumulong na ne, ne, tapos takbo talaga ako,” she shared, the memory both bittersweet and spine-chilling.
Ghostly Disruptor
Giggling from her former teammates, a mischievous ghost seems to have been quite annoyed with Choco Mucho’s Mars Alba and her friends during their childhood antics, making its presence known amidst their raucous laughter.
“Sa old school ko, ‘yong teammates ko before no’ng high school maiingay kasi sila. Tapos meron kaming parang pampatay ng lamok na pa-box siya. Naka-stand lang siya sa table. Nagulat ako ‘yong mismongs stand ng pampatay ng lamok nagswi-swing, mag-isa,” she recalled, mixing nostalgia with a touch of eerie humor.
Watchful Eyes in the Dark
Have you ever felt the chilling sensation of being watched beside your bed, only to dismiss it as your imagination, only to discover it was all too real?
That’s the eerie experience of Choco Mucho’s Des Cheng.
“Natutulog ako, parang may nakikita akong face sa side ng face ko. May one time na nagising akong may face na nakadungaw sa akin. Sumigaw ako,” she recounted, her voice trembling.
“Late ko lang na-realize na sinabi ng owner ng house na may nakatira doon,” Des revealed, the unsettling truth lingering in the air.
Haunting Reflection
And just when we thought training sessions were the scariest part, Choco Mucho’s ace Sisi Rondina encountered a chilling sight in the mirror during practice.
“May nakita lang akong babae sa salamin. Tapos hindi ko na tinignan, natakot na ako, eh,” she confessed, her voice laced with fear.
“Wala siyang mukha eh, buhok lang,” she added, the haunting image still etched in her mind.
As we prepare for the thrilling challenges ahead in the PVL, let's carry these spine-tingling stories with us, a reminder that the world can be as eerie as it is exhilarating. Who knows what else might lurk in the shadows during the games to come?
