With all their brawn and brains, let’s find out how these PBA superstars would fare in a zombie apocalypse—because who says they can only outsmart opponents on the court?
Which players from the Gin Kings and the Tropang Giga would make it out alive when the undead came knocking?
Ginebra survivor #1: LA Tenorio
According to Justin Brownlee, the Ginebra veteran point guard would outsmart the zombies because of his wit.
“Maybe L.A. I’ll give it to L.A. He’s the smartest out of all of us,” said Brownlee.
But what if the zombies ate his brain?
TNT survivor #1: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
When asked about who will survive the zombie apocalypse among his teammates, RHJ picked himself first. Because who will save you none other than yourself, right?
But not because of his skills but because he believes his teammates, especially Roger Pogoy, will save him.
“Me, of course. Because Roger Pogoy’s a good guy. Roger will sacrifice himself for me,” he jokingly said.
But he immediately takes his teamwork vibes when asked about Calvin Oftana.
“Calvin Oftana, I’ll probably push him in front of a zombie,” RHJ jokingly added.
Ginebra survivor #2: Stephen Holt
Looking all prepared, Stephen Holt confidently said that he will survive the zombie apocalypse.
“Me, 100%. I got the street smarts. I know what to do. Hopefully that never happens. I think I’ll be ready to survive.
Zombies be like: Try me! Kidding!
Last but not the least, TNT survivor #2: Calvin Oftana
Quick answer to a quick question, Calvin Oftana proudly said he will survive the apocalypse because well, he’s the first one who got interviewed.
Witty mo dyan, Calvin!
“Tinatanong pa ba ‘yan? Ako ‘yong in-interview, ako ‘yong magsu-survive diyan,” he jokingly said.
While we aren’t exactly sure who will survive the scary zombie apocalypse, one thing is for sure - there’s only one team who will take home the coveted Governors’ Cup championship.
