Jovelyn Gonzaga will be cheering on her BFF Rachel Anne Daquis as she makes her PVL return in the Farm Fresh Foxies' opening match in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference... against former team Cignal.
The Farm Fresh Foxies will open their 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference on November 16 against the Cignal HD Spikers at the Ynares Center Antipolo.
Plenty of eyes will be on the Foxies ahead of the return of Rachel Anne Daquis, who is making her PVL comeback since the 2023 Invitational Conference.
While many of her fans are excited about her return to the taraflex, no one is happier than her BFF Jovelyn Gonzaga, who also had her comeback with the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles.
“Si Rachel, kasi antagal niyang nawala. 'Di ba, almost six months? Ang haba. So, nasa stage pa lang siya na kinakapa niya pa ulit. And nagpapa-condition pa siya ulit. So, excited ako for her, sa kanya magiging first game,” Gonzaga told reporters.
“Nami-miss ko 'yung presence niya sa court, na makita siya sa court. And nami-miss ko ang mga palo at services niya. So, lahat tayo excited doon,” she added.
Gonzaga and Daquis had been together with the Cignal HD Spikers for several years, forming a close bond that has turned into a true friendship.
Even as Daquis went to the United States and Spain for her business venture, Gonzaga shared the two were still in constant communication.

As the two decided to make their PVL returns, the Bionic Ilongga added that RAD knew about her team choice.
And though the two will not be on the same team as before, Gonzaga knows that their bond on and off the court will hold no matter what.
“Actually, very consistent naman kasi talaga ang communication namin ni Rachel since day one. Kung paano ko napunta sa ZUS, and kung ano din ang plano niya sa buhay,” said Gonzaga.
“Part of us, alam nating naman naming hindi kami magsasamang dalawa. Alam mo yun, yung na-miss mo siya, kasi for ilang conferences na hindi mo siya nakasama. Pero, mas gusto namin tong responsibility na ganito. And ako, nasanay ako na may Rachel Anne Daquis lagi,” she added.
Rachel Anne Daquis and Jheck Dionela will be facing their former team, the Cignal HD Spikers this Saturday at 4 p.m.
