ILOCOS SUR — Creamline continues to have Akari’s number after whipping up a dominant 26-24, 25-17, 25-16 triumph in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference inside the Candon City Arena here on Saturday, Nov. 23.

The Cool Smashers thus prevailed in the highly anticipated rematch of last season’s Reinforced Conference Finals.

Creamline is now 7-0 against the Chargers dating back to their first encounter in the import-spiced conference last 2022.

Three-time Most Valuable Player Tots Carlos made her return for the Cool Smashers in front of a 7,281-strong crowd after sitting out the Reinforced and Invitational Conferences due to an undisclosed knee injury.

In the third set, Creamline pulled away behind a 7-2 run fueled by Jema Galanza and Bernadeth Pons, who had three and two points each, that gave the squad a 16-10 spread.

Bea de Leon would push the Cool Smashers further ahead while substitute Pau Soriano sealed the win with a kill block on Faith Nisperos.

Creamline will next face its sister team, Choco Mucho, on Dec. 3 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.

Meanwhile, Akari will look to bounce back against Farm Fresh on Nov. 30 at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.
