Trisha Genesis sheds some light for the Capital1 Solar Spikers in the PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Trisha Genesis delivered a strong performance, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Capital1 Solar Spikers from suffering their fourth straight loss as they fell to the Akari Chargers, 25-9, 25-17, 26-24, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Saturday, February 1, at the PhilSports Arena.
Genesis was the lone bright spot for Capital1, finishing with a team-high 14 points. She kept the Solar Spikers competitive, especially in the third set, where they pushed Akari to the brink before ultimately falling short.
Meanwhile, Akari secured its first sweep of the conference, improving to 5-4 behind Ivy Lacsina’s 15-point effort.
The Chargers also welcomed the return of Ced Domingo from a knee injury, adding depth to their front line.
Genesis and Capital1 will look to bounce back in their next match, while Akari will aim for another win when they take on Choco Mucho on February 8 at the PhilSports Arena.
