Brooke Van Sickle completes the perfect conference for the Petro Gazz Angels, bringing home the PVL All-Filipino title and MVP.
Brooke Van Sickle cemented her status as one of the PVL’s best after clinching the Most Valuable Player award in the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference. This is the Petro Gazz star's second straight MVP ward in the PVL All-Filipino.
Van Sickle’s relentless energy, scoring prowess, and all-around impact were instrumental in powering the Angels to their first-ever All-Filipino crown, taking a 2-1 victory over the Creamline Cool Smashers in the Finals.
The Angels' ace spiker placed third in scoring with 349 points and second among the Best Spikers with a 36.86 percent efficiency. She also ranked first among Best Servers with 25 service aces and 0.38 per set.
Van Sickle’s all-around game also flourished, ranking sixth in digging with 2.89, and third in receiving with a 35.37 percent efficiency.
Creamline’s Kyle Negrito earned the Best Setter award after a steady and composed performance at the helm of the Cool Smashers’ offense. She finished first among Best Setters with 4.98 per set.
Savi Davison of PLDT and Bernadeth Pons of Creamline took home Best Outside Hitter honors.
Davison brought explosive offense and energy to the High Speed Hitters, ranking second in scoring with 355 points, and first in spiking with a 38.62 percent success rate.
Pons, meanwhile, ranked fourth in the spiking category with a 34.57 percent success rate. The Reinforced Conference MVP is also 12th in scoring with 195 total points.
On the other hand, Farm Fresh's Trisha Tubu is now a two-time recipient of the Best Opposite Spiker award. The Foxies star ranked sixth in scoring with 227 points and third in spiking with a 36.05 percent success rate.
In the middle, Bea de Leon of Creamline and Thea Gagate of ZUS Coffee emerged as the conference’s Best Middle Blockers.
De Leon topped the blocking department with 46 kills blocks and 0.77 per set, while Gagate made a strong impact in her PVL debut with 48 total blocks and 0.74 per set.
Choco Mucho defensive ace Thang Ponce nabbed the Best Libero award for the third time, ranking first in receiving with a 47.83 percent efficiency rate and fourth in digging with 3.31 per set.
Capping the list of individual awardees is Ishie Lalongisip of Cignal, who was hailed as the Rookie of the Conference. The young outside hitter showed poise beyond her years, stepping up as a key contributor in her debut PVL season.
The seventh pick of the 2024 PVL Draft was the third-best scorer among rookies in this conference, ranking 28th overall with a total of 134 points.
