Farm Fresh Foxies rising star Pia Ildefonso spoke out why she ultimately forgo her remaining years to jump in professional play in the PVL.
Turns out, the issue with former Ateneo Blue Eagles guard Fortsky Padrigao is the main reason.
Ildefonso revealed in an interview with MEGA magazine that things got mentally draining in Ateneo because Padrigao remained with the team despite sexual misconduct allegations.
The daughter of PBA legend Danny Ildefonso felt ADMU “didn’t fight for me.”
“Parang ayoko na maging involved kasi hindi na siya nagiging fulfilling for me. Training would be mentally draining for me kasi paulit-ulit kong iniisip kung tama pa ba na nandoon ako, kasi at that time, nandoon pa siya,” Ildefonso said.
“I can’t represent a school that didn’t fight for me.”
Months ago, Ildefonso penned a farewell message to the Ateneo Blue Eagles when she took a stepback from the sport.
