The dominoes are starting to fall in favor of the National University Lady Bulldogs.

Team captain Erin Pangilinan and Sheena Toring have decided to stay with the defending champions in pursuit for back-to-back titles for Season 87.

Pangilinan and Toring confirmed their return for National U on social media with both volleybelles aiming to help the squad clinch a third title in the last four years.

“REDEMPTION COMPLETE (2) 👑Signing off for Season 86🫡🥹🔒I’ll be signing up again for season 87! Let’s aim for it next season! 👑🥇SEE YOU GUYS🥰,” Pangilinan wrote in her Instagram post.

Toring, who went on to play an instrumental role in the Lady Bulldogs’ Season 86 title conquest after being sidelined in the Season 85 Finals’ loss to the DLSU Lady Spikers, reflected back on NU’s redemption season and vowed “there’s still a chapter left to finish” in her collegiate volleyball career.

“REDEMPTION COMPLETE (3) 🏆 Losing a few games was really hard mentally, but we remained strong and supportive. Optimism is the key to our success this season. There’s still a lot to improve, and we will work even harder next season. 💙💛There’s still a chapter left to finish, so here’s to one more year! 🥹🫶🏻,” Toring told.

It was Toring who delivered the championship point for NU, completing their redemption season after sweeping past the top-seed UST Golden Tigresses in the title series.
