Aldous Torculas will be taking his talents from UP in the UAAP to the NCAA.
Aldous Torculas is moving on from Diliman.
Torculas decided to leave the reigning UAAP men’s basketball champions’ nest to embark on a journey in the NCAA, as announced by the UP Office of Athletics and Sports Development (UP OASD) on Thursday, February 6.
“We’re proud of Aldous kung saan man siya susunod na maglalaro and we’re sure that he'll make UP proud by bringing the UP Fight,” UP OASD Director Bo Perasol said in the statement.
“We wish Aldous the best and for sure, there are no goodbyes to be said right now,” he added.
It is still unclear which school the 21-year-old will take his talents to.
A former UP Integrated School (UPIS) standout, Torculas primarily came off the bench last season and averaged 3.9 points and 2.3 rebounds.
The two-way player was a double-double machine in his high school days, averaging 11.6 points and 15.2 rebounds en route to being named to the Season 82 Boys’ Mythical Team.
Overall, Torculas spent six years playing for the Diliman-based squad--helping them clinch the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball title.
