With a new coach, the Lady Falcons are hoping to turn the tables this time around.
There’s nothing the Adamson Lady Falcons want more than making the Final Four of the upcoming UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball tournament.
This after conceding to the Ateneo Lady Eagles in their playoff match last season and winding up fifth with an 8-6 win-loss record.
Team captain Louie Romero said the Lady Falcons are gunning for a top four seat and eventually a finals appearance this season.
“Gagawin namin lahat para makapasok kami sa top 4 at, hopefully, sa championship,” she said.
Lucille Almonte will help her take on the leadership mantle for the Lady Falcons, who will now be handled by coach Jerry Yee. The seasoned tactician replaced Lerma Giron.
“Isa ako sa mga magsasalita. Or mag-guide kasi 'yun naman talaga dapat gawin, kasi communication is key for us lalo na kami 'yung maglalaro sa loob,” said Almonte.
With a decorated mentor in Yee at the helm, Almonte is expecting the team to be more fearless on the court.
“Hindi naging maganda last season naming, pero expect na lalaban kami hanggang dulo,” Almonte said.
