Gilas Pilipinas wasted no time after arriving in China as they went to work as soon as possible.
Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes shared a video of the national team members warming up inside the gymnasium in Heyuan, Guangdong on Tuesday night.
"Straight to practice upon arrival," Reyes posted.
The pool needed that extra push given how Reyes admitted that they are "far off from where we want to be."
The squad is set to participate in a set of in a series of games against Iran and Senegal.
Reyes earlier confirmed that Jordan Clarkson will not be playing in China and will head straight to the Philippines on August 8. Team manager Butch Antonio clarified to News5 that they are still talking to the Clarkson camp to bring him to the pocket tournament.
Gilas center Kai Sotto on the other hand stayed in the country, still nursing a back condition.
