The Gilas mainstay had his best scoring game in Japan so far.
On Wednesday’s game between Levanga Hokkaido and Gunma Crane Thunders in the Japan B.League, Filipino import Dwight Ramos exploded for a career-high 26 points. Displaying his full offensive arsenal, the Gilas Pilipinas star led Levanga to a 96-82 victory, and was asked to address the home crowd after his magnificent performance.
On the microphone, the 24-year-old wing explained how he was able to catch fire during the game.
“I tried to do the things I’m confident in doing. The coaches and my teammates, they all believed in me. And that’s why I kind of was so hot. It’s because of their belief in me,” Ramos said.
After thanking the fans, things took a sudden turn when the man of the moment suddenly felt the urge to do a little bit of live selling.
“Thank you, guys for all coming out and supporting us. You got to see us win with the black jerseys on a Wednesday. Thank you, guys for coming. Please sell out my merchandise, please. I see you all got my towels. But please, keep buying them.”
We see what you did there, Dwight. We like the mindset.
Ramos’ supporters and his fellow Filipino Japanese B.League players gave him kudos for his terrific outing. But of course, the best reaction to his career-game came from his girlfriend Kim Kianna Dy. The star opposite hitter of the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers went on Instagram and recorded her giddy self as she was watching Ramos being interviewed as Player of the Game.
But KKD being KKD, she couldn't help but laugh a bit as well when she jokingly zoomed in on his BF's face.
We bow down to you, Saint Dwight.
