Victor Wembanyama did it all in an efficient outing for the San Antonio Spurs, while two of the hottest teams in Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder kept their respective winning streaks alive.
ALL-AROUND WEMBY STARS AS CELTICS SCORE HISTORIC ROUT
- San Antonio Spurs (17-16) def. LA Clippers (19-14), 122-86: Victor Wembanyama stuffed the stat sheets in leading the Spurs to a dominating home win over the Clippers.
- Wild, Wild, Wemby: Victory Wembanyama put up 27 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and three blocks in just 25 minutes for San Antonio’s 17th win of the season.
- Boston Celtics (24-9) def. Toronto Raptors (7-26), 125-71: Jayson Tatum scored 18 of his 23 points in the third frame, anchoring the Celtics’ second largest win in franchise history while sending the Raptors to an 11th straight loss.
- Milwaukee Bucks (17-14) def. Indiana Pacers (16-18), 120-112: Giannis Antetokounmpo returned from a three-game absence to score 30 points as the Bucks snapped a two-game skid at expense of the Pacers.
NEW YEAR, SAME WINNING WAYS FOR THUNDER, CAVS
- Oklahoma City Thunder (27-5) def. Minnesota Timberwolves (19-14), 113-105: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander went off with his third 40-point game in the last five games to anchor a gutsy Thunder comeback for a 12th straight win.

- Cleveland Cavaliers (29-4) def. LA Lakers (18-14), 122-110: Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen, and the rest of the league-leading Cavaliers completed a season sweep of the new-look Lakers to extend their winning run to eight games.

- Memphis Grizzlies (22-11) def. Phoenix Suns (15-16), 117-112: Despite missing nine players, the Grizzlies took home a bounce-back win on the road over the Suns.
- Grit and Grind: Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane combined for 69 points in Memphis’ fifth win in the last seven games, taking a one-game lead over the Houston Rockets for West’s no. 2 spot.
