As 2025 begins, Gilas Pilipinas standouts Kai Sotto and AJ Edu have placed themselves among players who have stood out in the ongoing Japan B.League season.
After 26 games, Sotto and Edu find themselves among the statistical leaders in rebounding and blocks, respectively.
Sotto, who plays for the Koshigaya Alphas, ranks second in rebounding, averaging an impressive 10.0 boards per game.
The 7-foot-3 big man is also putting up solid numbers on other departments with 14.5 points and 1.2 blocks per outing.
Meanwhile, AJ Edu of the Nagasaki Velca holds the third spot in blocks, swatting away 1.5 shots per contest.
That is along with his 5.6 points and 5.6 rebounds a night in over 23 minutes of action.
The Alphas are currently 20th in the league with an 8-18 record, while the Velcas are 14th with an even 13-13 record.
Sotto and the rest of the Koshigaya squad return on Saturday, December 4 as they take on the Seahorses Mikawa.
Edu and Nagasaki will likewise head back to action against the Yokohama B-Corsairs.
