You might’ve met Calen Asher Alapag before when he and his legendary basketball dad Jimmy Alapag recreated the latter’s iconic moment with Gilas Pilipinas last January.

The PBA great once again flexed one of his kids, this time, Calen's kuya, Ian Maximus.

On Sunday, the Mighty Mouse flaunted on Instagram the bonding activity he shares with his eldest. It's a sport and it's not basketballbut baseball.

As the post suggests, playing America’s number one pastime is a Saturday affair for the Alapag boys. A banner also shows that the nine-year-old Alapag wears jersey number 7 for the Cardinals. Looking back at Jimmy’s Philippine basketball career, it’s clear that the son didn’t take any of his dad’s old jersey number. The 2011 PBA MVP only wore number 3 in the PBA. With Gilas, Captain Jimmy wore number 4.

Oh wait, could it be?

Could it be that Ian Maximus added 3 and 4 to come up with 7? Are we geniuses here on One Sports or what?

Jersey number history aside, when Jimmy is not watching his boy’s baseball games, he is busy working as an assistant coach for the Stockton Kings, the G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings. It’s no secret that Alapag’s dream is to coach in the NBA someday. He certainly is on the right track right now, just like he is being a supportive dad to his little slugger.
