Feeling that he needs something to reinvigorate his career, no. 3-ranked flyweight MMA contender Danny "The King" Kingad knows that he can’t let this latest opportunity slip away from him.

Kingad will get a chance to kickstart his comeback when he joins ONE’s debut in Atlanta, Georgia. There, he battles former ONE Flyweight MMA World Champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes at ONE 169: Atlanta inside State Farm Arena on November 8.

Knowing how big the opportunity is for fighters to compete on ONE’s U.S. cards, the Filipino can’t wait to strut his wares in front of a highly passionate American MMA crowd, and he plans to be at his best.

"I'm thrilled to finally have the opportunity to perform in the States and showcase my skills in front of the American audience,” he said.

“It's a chance that not everyone from this part of the world gets, so I'll be giving it my all in this fight to push my career forward."

But Kingad’s motivation won’t just come from competing in front of a U.S. audience.

He’ll have redemption on his mind when he takes on Moraes. After all, it was the Brazilian who crushed his dreams of becoming an MMA World Champion in 2017.

While Kingad was coming up as one of the best young fighters from the Philippines back then, “Mikinho” gave him a rude awakening, choking him out in the first round. Moraes, on the other hand, ended up becoming one of the best world champions in the division.

Kingad hasn’t whiffed gold since.

It’s going to be a loaded card in Atlanta this November. The pair will be joined by three-division MMA World Champion Anatoly Malykhin, who defends his heavyweight strap against “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane in the main event.

Two-division MMA World Champion Christian Lee also marks his long-awaited return when he defends his lightweight belt against Alibeg Rasulov.

And the trilogy between ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai and “Smokin’” Jo Nattawut will also be settled on the same night.
