The Macau Black Bears are gearing up for a landmark home debut in the East Asia Super League (EASL) as they host Japan’s Ryukyu Golden Kings at Studio City on Wednesday, October 30.

Macau has long been the EASL’s home base since 2017, but this matchup marks the first time that the special administrative region will host a game featuring a local Macanese team, a historic milestone that will see the Black Bears aiming to defend their home turf in Group B action.

Macau comes into this game with a 1-1 record, bouncing back from an opening road loss to Meralco with an impressive 109-97 win over the New Taipei Kings on October 23.

Jeantal Cylla was unstoppable in that game, leading the Black Bears with 32 points, while Damian Chongqui added 23 points to power Macau to its first EASL victory.

Ryukyu, meanwhile, secured a 77-74 home win over Meralco in their first Group B game, with Vic Law and Jack Cooley each scoring 18 points.

With home support for the first time in EASL history, the Black Bears are determined to keep their winning momentum alive and make their home court a stronghold.
